As we head into the end of the year, it is exciting to see how much the Curiosity Lab startup program and our in-house startups have grown over 2022. Our goal is to continue to provide and increase opportunities for networking and education as we swing into 2023, and with that, we’re kicking off December with Curious Connections – our first startup learning day event.
Curious Connections will take place on Thursday, December 1, and is aimed at bringing new startups, both local and international, into our startup ecosystem, while also educating our current startups on the resources the Curiosity Lab programs provide for them and their companies. This event will give all startups, entrepreneurs and attendees an opportunity to mingle and hear from VCs, industry leaders, Unicorns and more. In addition, interested startups and entrepreneurs will have the chance to tour our full innovation center while on-site. Free to register and open to the public- this is an event you will not want to miss!
Attendees will start the day with lunch and a networking event, followed by educational panels that will provide information and help startups with their various needs. Topics include:
- How to build a long-term business plan and well-rounded team
- How to manage going from a startup phase to garnering regular revenue
- Raising capital
- How to craft a winning VC pitch
- Curiosity Lab startup program partners will be brought together to discuss their individual startup programs and resources they provide to our startups
As part of the event, attendees will receive a packet outlining our startup program partners and their offerings – this will also be available online on the Curiosity Lab website for those who prefer a digital format. We will also be announcing some new startup program offerings that will continue to bolster the types of support startups in our community will be able to receive. Startups can also enter a raffle to win 6 months of free desk space in the Curiosity Lab!
To close out the event, OVHcloud US will be hosting a networking and happy hour, where we will celebrate their one-year anniversary as a partner of the Curiosity Lab.
