The IDC Government Insights’ Smart Cities North America Awards celebrate the progress made by states and municipalities in implementing smart city projects. These awards also provide a platform for sharing best practices and accelerating the development of smart cities across the nation. Bringing together innovators, city leaders and technology experts, the awards are meant to recognize the progress we have made in North America toward smart city growth and development. As explained by IDC Government Insights, the winners represent the best among smart city municipalities in the nation, demonstrating how technology can lead to sustainable city and industry solutions. We are excited to be among the winners of the Smart Cities North America Awards (SCNAA), being recognized for the category of economic development, tourism, arts, libraries, culture, open spaces and more. The awards ceremony and following events will take place in the Denver Colorado Convention Center from May 16th to the 18th at the Smart Cities Connect Conference. Curiosity Lab and our smart city were also recognized by the 7th Annual Smart 50 Awards for ‘Defining the Blueprint for Smart Cities in the United States.’ Serving as a blueprint for how to create a “city street of the future,” Peachtree Corners’ smart city ecosystem inspires communities everywhere to utilize technology to improve citizens’ everyday lives on a global scale. From a three-mile autonomous vehicle test lane to launching the first-ever teleoperated e-scooters and being one of the first cities to implement 5G, Peachtree Corners has all the resources to generate a better tomorrow, inspiring other smart cities to do the same. Peachtree Corners is a living example of how the smart city vision can create safer, more functional realities for all. We are honored to have been selected for this award and recognized for this achievement.
